	IBEW Local 84 welcomes you to our website. Chartered on July 24^th, 1899, Local 84 now represents over 3000 men and women in the electrical industry across Georgia. Our members work at Georgia Power Company, Southern Nuclear, Amicalola EMC, Sawnee EMC, and multiple Outside Contractors. Our mission is to organize all workers in the electrical industry in order to provide a voice in the workplace, secure a higher standard of living, obtain security on the job and in retirement, and to promote safe and reasonable methods of work. Contract Update 5/22/2025

We’re pleased to announce that the vote on the new outside contract has officially passed!

Thank you to all the members who took the time to vote and make your voices heard — your involvement continues to strengthen our union.

The new contract will go into effect on June 1st.

New wage rates can be found under the outside construction tab.

**MEMBER UPDATES**

Our member, Dakota Ivey, was seriously hurt in a multi-car accident on May 8 in Savannah, GA. His family has been traveling back and forth, covering hotel stays, food, and gas to be by his side. Any support—whether a donation or a prayer—means the world to them. Thank you for lifting this family up during a tough time.
